"50 Life Studies" is being used in at least 9 Muslim countries. Here are a few stories:

• "We will be doing study #9 this next Sunday.
  We have found these studies very useful for this group where some of the believers are well-grounded and others are new believers. My goal has been to go over the lesson with our leaders on Friday evenings and then have them break into groups of 3 - to teach on Sundays. I had not thought, as you suggested, of asking them all to take the lesson home and teach someone there - a great idea! This way more and more people become "teachers" and "evangelists."

• After a seminar on how to use 50 Life Studies, two boys
  (aged 15 and 19) who did not read well (and thus did not read much!) talked about their joy of learning God's word: "Since we became believers a few years ago, we've never read the Bible like this!" Later, from their home town, they reported: "We are studying the 50 Life Studies together often. The teachings of Jesus are coming alive for us! We love that book."

• In a village a house fellowship fell apart after the pastor left for another city.
  "Our preacher is gone, so how can we hear God's word together?" they thought. After many years of not meeting, 50 Life Studies was shown to some of the women of the fellowship. They saw how each lesson guided them into understanding and discussing what Jesus taught. The women rejoiced. "Now we see we don't have to have a preacher to learn from God's word! We can use this book as a guide for our group to use each week. We want to start our home fellowship again and grow deeper in Jesus." They began meeting together again. The word spread and others joined them. Today, two years after they began, their home fellowship continues.

• A husband and wife learning a Muslim language report:
  
  "My wife and I have been using the 50 Life Studies book with our pre-believer language helper to learn spiritual language. She enjoys the Bible studies, often answering the questions personally but usually speaks of "you believers". During our recent study on the Holy Spirit (Lesson 17) we asked her if she had ever sensed the Holy Spirit or God's presence. She said "No." After looking at Luke 11:9-13 we invited her to pray from her heart. She prayed the most simple and beautiful prayer summarizing the studies we had done before. Right there she invited Jesus to save her and the Holy Spirit to fill her. When she finished praying her eyes were beaming and she confessed sensing God's presence for the first time. It was a glorious moment! Even with our limited language ability, the Word of God had its effect with the help of this book."

• In a Muslim country of severe persecution:
  
  An extended family came to the Lord and the woman who was discipling them wrote this: "I printed off every lesson that has been translated into our language so far, and I gave it to them 3 weeks ago. I was thinking that we'd go through them together, lesson by lesson, because the content is deeper than anything that we've tried to do with them before. Today one of the girls visited my house and told me that their family has been going through a lesson each night - reading every verse and answering all the questions. She said they have now read through everything I gave them! Of course, my friend and I will go through each lesson, one by one with them, too, but I'm so happy that they are loving these lessons and that they do them together, without my being there with them."

• A young, educated Muslim woman,
  using this book with an open New Testament, is thrilled about what she is learning about Jesus and the hope it gives her. "When I read the Bible I am filled with such peace." Her believing friend reports: "I think she's very close to coming to Jesus. These studies have been great so far. I'm excited about how they build upon each other."
